Find the right property and record
Brisbane City Council directs readers to Development.i for current and past applications, plans and conditions. Its application-search guidance also explains how to seek older records.
Search using the street address or application number. Check that the address matches the site you mean, then save the application number and official record link. Similar street names and separate applications can make an informal discussion confusing.
Read the status before the headline
Write down what the record says is proposed, its current status and the dates of the documents you read. A lodged proposal is not the same as an approval; an approval alone is not confirmation that building work has started.
A simple note helps you track changes: address · application number · status · latest document date · next date to check. If a plan is revised, compare the relevant documents rather than treating an earlier image as current.
